There’s something utterly comforting about a plate of meatballs. The aroma wafting through the kitchen, the anticipation of gathering around the dinner table, and the satisfaction of a homemade meal all come together to create an experience that feels like a warm embrace. Growing up, my family had our own special meatball recipe, a time-honored tradition that brought us all together and filled our home with love and laughter. However, as I’ve matured and explored a variety of culinary influences, I’ve discovered the joy of reinventing classic dishes. This journey has led me to create Cheddar Ranch Turkey Meatballs—an irresistible fusion of savory ground turkey, sharp cheddar cheese, and zesty ranch dressing.

Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1/4 cup ranch dressing (store-bought or homemade)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried dill

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: Fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, ranch dressing, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, dried dill, salt, and black pepper.

Combine Well: Using your hands or a spatula, mix all the ingredients until everything is well combined, but be careful not to overmix, as that can make the meatballs tough.

Form Meatballs: Using a cookie scoop or your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1-1.5 inches in diameter. Place them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake: Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and have a golden-brown exterior (the internal temperature should reach 165°F / 74°C).

Serve: Once baked, remove the meatballs from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or chives if desired and serve with extra ranch dressing for dipping or alongside your favorite side dishes.

Enjoy!: Indulge in these cheesy, savory meatballs that offer a delightful twist on traditional turkey meatballs.
