Ingredients

4 medium russet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup cooked and crumbled bacon (optional)

¼ cup green onions, chopped

½ cup sour cream

¼ cup diced tomatoes (optional)

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Start by peeling the russet potatoes and cutting them into thin fries. Aim for about 1/4 inch thick for an ideal fry texture!

Place the cut fries in a large bowl, and drizzle with olive oil. Toss them well to coat evenly.

Sprinkle garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper over the fries. Toss again until all the fries are seasoned beautifully.

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Add the fries to the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

Cook the fries for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure they cook evenly and get crispy.

Once the fries are golden and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and place them on an oven-safe dish or serving platter.

While the fries are still hot, top them generously with shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon (if using), and diced tomatoes.

Place the loaded fries back into the air fryer for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the air fryer and sprinkle with chopped green onions and fresh cilantro, if desired.

Serve hot with dollops of sour cream on top or on the side for dipping.
