Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

1 ½ cups plain Greek yogurt (or any yogurt of your choice)

¼ cup honey or maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup dark chocolate chips

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

¼ cup sliced almonds (optional for crunch)

Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

Prep the Bananas: Start by peeling the ripe bananas and placing them in a mixing bowl. Mash the bananas using a fork or a potato masher until they are smooth with a few small lumps remaining for texture.

Mix Yogurt Mixture: Add the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and cocoa powder to the mashed bananas. Stir well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined and smooth.

Add Chocolate Chips and Nuts: Fold in the dark chocolate chips and sliced almonds (if using) into the yogurt mixture. Ensure they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Prepare the Pan: Line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal later. Make sure the parchment covers the sides as well.

Pour and Spread: Pour the yogurt mixture into the prepared loaf pan. Use a spatula to spread and smooth the top evenly. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top to enhance the flavors.

Freeze: Cover the loaf pan with plastic wrap or a lid, then place it in the freezer. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until the mixture is firm and completely set.

Slice and Serve: Once frozen, remove the loaf pan from the freezer. Using the parchment overhang, lift the frozen yogurt block out of the pan. Place it on a cutting board and slice it into bars of your desired size.

Store or Enjoy: Serve immediately for a refreshing treat or store the sliced bars in an airtight container in the freezer, where they can last for up to a month.
