Ingredients

1 cup natural peanut butter (unsweetened)

1/2 cup pure maple syrup or agave syrup

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup rolled oats (gluten-free, if needed)

1/2 cup almond flour or coconut flour

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (dairy-free, if needed)

Optional: a sprinkle of sea salt for topping

Instructions

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8 inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some edges overhanging for easy removal later. Set aside.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the natural peanut butter and maple syrup. Mix thoroughly until smooth and well integrated.

Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in the cocoa powder, rolled oats, almond flour, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until everything is well incorporated and the batter is thick but pliable.

Sparkling Chocolate Surprise: Gently fold the dark chocolate chips into your mixture. Ensure they are evenly dispersed throughout.

Spread the Mixture: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and use a spatula to spread it evenly into the corners and make the top as flat as possible.

Chill Them Out: Place the baking dish in the fridge for about 2-3 hours to allow the bars to firm up.

Cut & Serve: Once set, remove the bars from the dish using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares or bars of your desired size.

Optional Finish: If you’re feeling fancy, sprinkle a little sea salt on top for an extra burst of flavor.

Storage Tip: Store your guilt-free chocolate peanut butter bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze for later enjoyment.
