Ingredients

2 cups canned black beans, rinsed and drained

1 cup canned pinto beans, rinsed and drained

1 cup Hatch green chilies, diced (fresh or canned)

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1/2 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix the Beans: In a large mixing bowl, combine the black beans and pinto beans, mashing them lightly with a fork or potato masher, leaving some chunky bits for texture.

Combine the Ingredients: Add the diced Hatch green chilies, softened cream cheese, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, and sour cream to the bowl with the beans. Stir until everything is well combined.

Season the Mixture: Sprinkle in the garlic powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix everything until it's evenly blended.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the dip mixture into an oven-safe baking dish and spread it out evenly.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and golden on top.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove the dip from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro and serve warm with tortilla chips for dipping.
