Ingredients

1 lb (450g) salmon fillet, skinless and cut into bite-sized cubes

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and minced ginger until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Add the salmon cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Heat Up the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. If using sesame oil, add it to the skillet for an extra depth of flavor.

Cook the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade (reserve the marinade for later) and season with salt and pepper. Place the salmon cubes in the hot skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the salmon is golden brown and cooked to your desired doneness.

Add the Marinade: Once the salmon is cooked, pour the reserved marinade into the skillet. Bring it to a simmer and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and glaze the salmon bites.

Serve and Garnish: Transfer the honey garlic glazed salmon bites to a serving platter. Garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for added crunch and flavor.

Enjoy! Serve warm as an appetizer, or alongside rice and steamed vegetables for a delightful meal.
