1 small baguette (or a similar crusty bread)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped (plus more for garnish)

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional for cheesy garlic bread)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a medium bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.

      Slice the Baguette: Using a serrated knife, slice the baguette into 1-inch thick pieces. You can cut them all the way through or leave them partially attached at the bottom for a pull-apart style.

        Spread the Garlic Butter: Generously spread the garlic butter mixture on each slice, ensuring to get the butter into the crevices for maximum flavor.
