Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 cup bell peppers, diced (any color)

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup beef broth

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Heat the Olive Oil: In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.

Brown the Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until it’s browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.

Season the Meat: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the beef in the spices.

Add the Broccoli and Peppers: Add the broccoli florets and diced bell peppers to the skillet, stirring everything together. Pour in the beef broth, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer.

Cook Until Tender: Cover the skillet and let it cook for about 8-10 minutes or until the broccoli is tender and bright green.

Add Cheese: Remove the lid and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef and broccoli. Cover the skillet again and let the cheese melt for about 2-3 minutes.

Serve: Once the cheese is melted and bubbly, give everything a good stir to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt, pepper, or red pepper flakes if desired.

Garnish and Enjoy: Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if using. Enjoy your delicious one-pan cheesy beef and broccoli skillet!
