Ingredients

8 oz elbow macaroni

4 cups milk (whole or 2%)

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup cream cheese, cubed

1 cup diced fruits (such as apples, peaches, or berries)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional, to enhance sweetness)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh herbs for garnish (like basil or chives, optional)

Instructions

Combine Ingredients: In a large pot, add the uncooked elbow macaroni, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Cook the Pasta: Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the pot with a lid, and let it simmer, stirring occasionally. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the macaroni is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.

Add Cheese: Once the pasta is cooked, add the cream cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese to the pot. Stir until the cheeses have melted and created a creamy sauce.

Incorporate Fruits: Gently fold in the diced fruits of your choice. If using apples, they can be added raw for a crunch, or if using berries or peaches, feel free to stir them in while still warm to create a slightly fruitier flavor.

Final Touches: For a hint of spice, stir in nutmeg if desired. Adjust the seasoning to taste. If the mixture looks too dry, add a splash more milk until desired creaminess is achieved.

Serve: Spoon the One-Pot Fruit Mac and Cheese into bowls. Garnish with fresh herbs if using, and enjoy your unique twist on traditional mac and cheese!
